Have each guest arrive in an outfit that resembles an incomplete Rubiks cube. This means they will be wearing the six different Rubik's cube colors - white, red, blue, orange, green and yellow.
During the Rubik's cube party guests' swap articles of clothing until they have 'solved' the cube (so, wearing one colour only). In other words… the aim of this Rubik's Cube game is to leave the party in someone else’s clothes #ohbehave! Get Your Swap On
As mentioned above, the aim of the game is for guests to arrive in a 'Rubik's Cube Costume' and swap pieces of clothing until they're wearing one colour only. But there's a little more to it than that...
RUBIK'S CUBE THEME PARTY RULES Pick one of the following fun Rubik's Cube party theme rules and make your game extra fun:
THROUGHOUT THE EVENT, GUESTS CAN ONLY SWAP AN ITEM OF CLOTHING...
The final two dot points are hilarious when guests’ are able to swap clothing items without the bride noticing. Gradually during the party she’ll realize her girls are slowing morphing into whole colours and won’t know when or how it’s happening! NUMEROUS RULES If you don't like the idea of one blanket rule, you also have the option of numerous rules being followed throughout the night.
THE ULTIMATE LIST OF 'RULES'
Guests are asked to make their way through the following list until they are wearing one colour only. Please note, no rule may be used more than once! You may make a quick swap of 1 clothing item...
Game On
Up the ante at your celebration by handing out fun prizes throughout the night. You can award winners for one or more of the following categories:
How Will You Play?
When it comes to a Rubik's cube hen party, there are a number of ways to play. And how you include the bride-to-be in the fun is entirely up to you:
Option 1: WHITE PARTY Make sure she is the only one to end up in all white (you could make a rule that the bride must get the white item from every single guest!). Option 2: MIX & MATCH Ask your hen to arrive in all white, and have guests wear the remaining five colors of the rubik cube (red, blue, orange, green and yellow). You can then use the 'bride mentioning a particular word' rule outlined above; discreetly swapping items of clothing. When she notices what's going on, have her join the fun. The catch? Whilst guests must become one single colour, your hen must become an unfinished cube (leaving the party in all six colours rather than white). Option 3: TRADITIONAL Everyone, including your hen, arrives as an unfinished Rubik's cube and plays the game together. Rubiks Cube Party Favors & PrizesCUTE RUBIK'S CUBE GIFT BOXES And last but not least, if you're after something special to put your guests' goodies in, you can't go past Rubik's Cube favour boxes.
These awesome, instant downloads can be printed off at home, put together and filled with delicious treats or gorgeous gifts! Click here to download them now.
FOOD ITEMS Perfect for foodies (like me). Think along the lines of colourful cupcakes, biscuits or lollies. You could even go one step further and decorate square cookies to look like actual Rubik's Cubes, or create a Rubik's Cube cake for the ultimate themed treat (sending slices home as 'favours').
And whilst we're on the topic of food, beeswax wraps are another fantastic option. Coming in a range of fun colours and patterns, they will go perfectly with your bright and bubbly celebration.
LIVING GIFTS Plants flowering in the Rubik's cube colours (white, red, blue, orange, green and yellow) will not only make your event look beautiful, but will also make a lasting gift for your guests (which in turn will become a permanent reminder of the fun they had at your hen do). SHOTS AND/OR MINI ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES Kick off your celebration with some delicious mini drinks or shots. Not only a great ice-breaker (CHEERS everyone!), but also the perfect addition to any goodie bag. Handy Hint: Put the call out for small glass jars in the lead up to your event (and be sure to save any from your cupboard as well!). You can then fill these with spirits or champagne, decorate as you wish (e.g. with ribbon bows in the rubik’s colors) and add to guests' gift bags, ready for the special day. Rubik's Cube Party Decorations
Thanks to the fun nature of this game, guests' and hen alike will have an amazing time whether your decorations are scarce (i.e. a few bunches of flowers in your theme colours) or elaborate (e.g. themed food, themed drinks - such as assorted coloured shots, flowers, colourful fabric bunting, etc.).
This Rubik's cube game also works perfectly when incorporated into an 80s theme party. Think along the lines of bright colours, fun photo-booth dress ups (from hilarious ball gowns to leg warmers, you'll be sure to find an amazing array of options at your local op shop!), hilarious photo props (DIY Pac Man props, anyone? Or how about famous movie quotes from that era?) and a vintage boom box/cassette tapes (borrowed from family or friends).
If you would prefer to purchase 80s party decorations and products rather than DIY, here are some great items to get you started (click the words to view the products):
Handy Hint: If you do decide to go ahead with this theme, make sure you have the funkiest 80s music playlist to ever grace a party on hand, and that guests join the fun by turning up in 80s costumes (in the Rubik's Cube colours, of course). Your Rubik's Cube Party Invites
Make sure you send out invitations early, giving your guests’ enough time to plan and/or purchase the most out-there get-up possible.
YOU MAY WISH TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING TIPS ON YOUR INVITATIONS:
As well as the above, you should also have PLENTY of cameras. Do not host a Rubik’s cube party without getting snap happy… you will regret it #thereneedstobeevidence

With cameras in everyone’s pockets these days, photo evidence of celebrations (whether you want it or not!) is almost guaranteed. And because of this, there will be an abundance of great (and not so great) pictures that the bride can look back on; reminiscing on the fun she had with her best gal pals only weeks before marrying the man of her dreams.
BUT... how are you going to get your hands on these pictures after the party?
Thanks to hens games such as ‘Snap That’, getting hold of these piccies will be a breeze! The best part? A version of this game can also be played at the wedding.
See below for instructions.

How to Play 'Snap That'
YOU WILL NEED:
Your guests and their camera phones, a Facebook group that includes all guests, and a printed photo checklist.
GAME INSTRUCTIONS:
Before the hen party, type up a checklist that includes different portrait and group shot items. For example, each guest is to capture the following:
WHO CAN SNAP...
|
|
Handy Hint:
Make everyone's checklist different and stick to a max of 10 items. This way you'll get a variety of photos and guests won't be glued to their phones for the entire party!
When guests arrive on the big day, hand each of them a checklist (or direct them to one, main checklist displayed at your event) and ask that they capture as many items as possible – with the person who ticks off the most being the winner.
This will ensure you get a heap of fun photos for your bride-to-be to look back on. But how will she get a hold of them?
THERE ARE TWO WAYS YOU CAN DO THIS:
This will ensure you get a heap of fun photos for your bride-to-be to look back on. But how will she get a hold of them?
THERE ARE TWO WAYS YOU CAN DO THIS:
- Put a time limit on the game. When the time is up, all guests are to upload the photos they’ve taken to the Facebook Group you prepared earlier. You can then use these albums to judge who took the best pictures, who got the most items, etc. and hand out prizes accordingly.
- At the end of the celebration, give a prize to the person who ticked off the most items from their checklist. The next morning, post a ‘thank-you' message in the Facebook Group you prepared earlier, with a side note asking that any pictures taken from the celebration be uploaded and shared in the group (no matter how horrendous they are!).
Alternative Ways to Play
ADD SOME MOVEMENT
Rather than just capturing still shots, consider adding items to the list that involve video. For example, ‘take a video of the hen doing a ridiculous dance’.
HASHTAGS
Don’t like the idea of a Facebook group, or the girls are more into Instagram? Make a special #hashtag for the celebration and ask that guests use it when uploading their pictures. This will make it easy for your hen to find ALL of the hilarious photos from her special day!
UP THE ANTE
You could incorporate this game into a scavenger hunt, meaning hen party dares such as ‘Get a photo of the bride with a bar tender’ could be added to the list. Doing so will mean you’ll have many more hilarious photo ops (and as a result, so much more to laugh at for years to come)!

Does your bride-to-be enjoy a good dance sesh? Are you looking for bridal shower or hen games that cater to this love? Then 'Let's Dance' is the perfect option for her celebration!
You've probably played a form of it in your childhood... it was fun then, and will even more so now (as, most likely, alcohol will be involved!).
For instructions on how to play, see below.

How to Play 'Let's Dance'
YOU WILL NEED:
Your guests and their imaginations + some music – that’s it!
GAME INSTRUCTIONS:
To play the game, ask everyone to stand in a circle; nominating your bride-to-be to get the dancing started.
How does she do this?
By making up one simple dance move (e.g. a star jump, waving her hands, twerking... you get the picture!). For this example, let’s say she went with the star jump.
Starting with the person on her left, each guest must take their turn to repeat the bride-to-be’s dance move. Once the entire circle has had their turn, the next player does a star jump before adding their own dance move to the routine (the next player is the person to the left of whomever made up the previous dance move; in this case, the person to the left of your bride-to-be).
Let’s say the second player goes with waving her hands. Starting with the player to their left, each guest then does a star jump and waves her hands.
Continue playing until every person has added their own dance move to the routine. The game finishes with the whole group performing the full routine together!
It's Fun to Up the Ante on Hen Games Like This!
MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO
You can’t let such a fun routine go to waste! If you have a video camera (or even a good phone) around, set it up and film the dance routine to backing music. It will be such a fun memory for your bride-to-be to look back on.
MAKE IT HARDER
If everyone is having a ball playing (or your group is smaller), have each guest add TWO dance moves at each turn. Harder and funnier!
PUNISH THE PLAYERS
Forget the steps or do them out of order? Then you will be punished. Taking a sip of your drink, having a shot, answering a truth, completing a dare – the ways you can penalize players is endless!
PLAN A PERFORMANCE
Hitting the town after some pre-drinks and nibbles? Put on a hilarious performance for the club/pub goers by busting out this dance routine at some point in the night!

How to Play This Hilarious Hen Party Game
YOU WILL NEED:
The worst/funniest/weirdest photo you can possibly find of your bride-to-be’s partner.
GAME INSTRUCTIONS:
Before the party, find the worst photo you can of your beautiful hen’s soon-to-be husband (or wife!). It can be when he was surprised, very drunk, just waking up, generally looking weird, etc. Whatever you decide to go with, make sure it’s BAD and/or HILARIOUS!
Print this picture off and have your bride-to-be carry it around with her for the duration of her celebration.
Why, you may ask?
Because every time a code-word is mentioned by a member of your group (‘Man, I’m itchy!’, for example), your bride-to-be must go over to the nearest stranger, show them the photo of her partner and proudly tell them how excited she is to be marrying him.
Can she get through it with a straight face?
Fun Additions to This Hen Party Game
WHY SO SERIOUS?
If your bride-to-be is able to talk about marrying her partner without cracking a smile or bursting out laughing, she deserves a special prize! This could be anything from an actual gift (such as a piece of her favourite chocolate) to having the guest who yelled out the code-word buying her a drink (as a reward for her wonderful acting skills, of course!).
HE'S EVERYWHERE!
You know that picture you found of your hen’s partner? Print off as many copies as there are guests attending the party and hand them out via goodie bags or as people arrive at the venue (just make sure your hen doesn’t notice). When the codeword is called out, surprise your bride-to-be by having EVERYONE put these photos in front of their faces whilst she’s talking to the passing stranger! There’s no way she’ll be able to keep a straight face.
Alternative:
Use a nice photo, but with the same idea. Surround your beautiful hen with her handsome soon-to-be husband (as pictured below). It will make for some hilarious photo ops!
CAPTURE THE LOVE
There are some photo ops that just can't be missed... especially when you have an awesome picture of the groom to play with!
Capture funny moments throughout the party by having your bride-to-be photographed with her "groom" (i.e. a guest holding the groom's photo in front of their face). ‘Photo Groom’ could be proposing, having a drink with his bride-to-be, dancing up a storm, etc. These pictures will make great mementos for years to come.
Want a bit more of a challenge? Assign each guest a scenario that they have to re-enact as the "groom" with the bride-to-be! Some examples include ‘First Date’, ‘Honeymoon’, etc.
SWITCH IT UP
Find some hilarious photos of your hen and have them printed off. These can be used as props for your photobooth, as fun drink charms (the best way for guests to keep track of their bevvy), or for fun photo opportunities when you're out and about!

How to Play this Hens Night Game
YOU WILL NEED:
Pre-prepared ‘Man Hunt’ playing cards.
GAME INSTRUCTIONS:
Before the big day, set up your hens night game by writing different male characteristics onto pieces of paper – these will become your ‘Man Hunt Playing Cards’.
EXAMPLE CHARACTERISTICS:
|
|
Get creative and have fun with your options!
When you’re ready to play, hand the cards out to your guests; making sure each person has at least 2 cards each. Explain that their playing cards are their ‘ideal men’ for the day/night – and it is their mission to hunt them down (and get photo evidence)! The first guest to find both of their ideal men wins!
Alternative Ways to Play
THE PERFECT MAN
Make this game harder by asking guests to find their ‘perfect man’ as well as their ‘ideal men’! How? They must find a man who has BOTH characteristics (e.g. A man with red hair who is also wearing a suit). Have a bonus prize for any guests able to find their perfect man by the end of the celebration.
EXTRA CHARACTERISTICS
If you can come up with enough characteristics, up the ante by giving each guest three (or more!) playing cards each. This will not only make it harder for guests to find their ‘Ideal Men’ and their ‘Perfect Man’ but will also mean the game and the fun will last longer!
MAN HUNT BINGO
Rather than each guest having their own individual characteristics to 'hunt down', put together a characteristics grid and have yourself some BINGO fun! First guest to find their 'perfect man' (i.e. each characteristic within the row - horizontal, vertical or diagonal) wins!
FIND MY PUPPY
Is your bride-to-be an animal lover? Or perhaps you don’t like the idea of having photos taken with random men around your town? Then you should find puppies (and dogs) instead! Same rules as above, except your playing cards will have dog characteristics instead (for example, dog with long ears, dog with a short tail, a spotty dog, a tall dog, etc.).

How to Play 'Slip it In'
YOU WILL NEED:
Pre-prepared phrases written or printed onto small pieces of paper or card.
GAME INSTRUCTIONS:
Before the hen party or kitchen tea, write down enough phrases that there will be at least one per guest.
EXAMPLE PHRASES INCLUDE:
|
|
Make sure the phrases are suitable for your particular party group (for instance, a kitchen tea with grandparents attending shouldn't have any risqué phrases; whereas a hen's party with topless waiters may be keen on some cheekier topics).
Hand each person a phrase as they arrive at the celebration and explain that they are to try and 'slip it in' to conversation at some point throughout the day/night.
The catch? They must wait 5 MINUTES after saying their phrase before claiming victory! You'll love watching as they try to keep the story going during this time without getting caught out.
Additional Ways to Play:
MAKE IT A COMPETITION
Have prizes for one or all of the following:
- First to successfully slip their phrase into conversation without being caught out
- Person to catch the most people
- Person to keep their story going for the longest amount of time (i.e. longer than the dedicated five minutes)
- Person to use their phrase the most within five minutes without getting caught
Related: Party Game Prize Ideas
INCREASE THE DIFFICULTY
Begin by handing out fairly simple phrases that would work well in everyday conversation (e.g. I took my dog for a walk today). Once a guest has successfully slipped the 'beginner' phrase into conversation, they are handed an 'intermediate' phrase (e.g. I want to show off my hula-dancing at some point tonight, or, I've been selected to play AFLW!). Continue handing out phrases that are harder and harder until the person (finally!) gets caught out!
Using the competition option from above, give a prize to the guest at the highest level of difficulty by the end of the celebration.
GUESTS CHOOSE THEIR STORY (UNKNOWINGLY!)
On your hen party or kitchen tea invites, ask guests to write down the most out-there phrase/story they can think of (give them an example to help them on their way). Ask that it is brought to the celebration.
As they arrive at the party, read their phrase/story, have a giggle to yourself, and explain the rules as above. It will be hilarious watching them try to fit their ridiculous phrase/story into conversation.
NOMINATE A STORY TELLER
Rather than everyone having their own phrases to slip into conversation - keep it to one or two guests at the party. That way, everyone knows that the game is happening - but they have no idea who is trying to trick them. Makes it a bit harder to be found out...!
