TREES ADVENTURE: OUR FAVOURITE BITS
A Review of Trees Adventure in Belgrave
Adventure is good for the soul.
It's exciting, enjoyable, memorable. And it's for these very reasons that my outing at Trees Adventure (located at Glen Harrow Park in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, Victoria) was so unforgettable. Catering for the cautious to the thrill seekers, this activity was full of fun, laughter and obstacles (of our choice) difficult enough that we felt proud for completing them. Our morning in the trees not only left us with smiles on our faces and memories that will last a lifetime, but also with a thirst for more!
Arriving at the treetop adventure park was like walking into my childhood dreams. There were ladders to climb, logs to balance on, platforms to jump from, and zip-lines that had patrons flying through the air whilst doing their best Tarzan cry.
I couldn't wait to get up there! And after being fitted with climbing attire and attending a short, informative and very helpful training session, it was our turn to take on the challenges waiting above.
From the moment we set foot on the 'Home Tree' we were like two big kids in the ultimate playground; testing our skills, crying with laughter at our attempts (and failure!) to tackle the challenges gracefully, feeling free as we 'flew' between trees, and basically having an amazing time.
Somehow through the giggles we managed to accomplish what we didn't think possible - with the highlight of the day being the moment we leapt off a platform that had a 15m drop! Throughout our experience the staff were frequently joking and chatting with climbers, making everyone feel at ease; and because of the fun and laid-back environment they created, it was easy to ask questions or for help if needed. They were also great at tailoring experiences to requests; suggesting different courses and heights depending on your comfort level and whether or not you wanted to try and push yourself further.
To sum it up, Trees Adventure proved to be a fantastic morning out that resulted in some sore muscles (I obviously don't use my arms as much as I thought), sore cheeks (the laughter is real), and a desire for more (we plan to go back and tackle the 'Black Course' as soon as possible). If you're looking for an outdoor adventure activity that caters for a wide range of ages and comfort levels, I definitely recommend checking out Trees Adventure!

HAVE FUN WITH A THEME Celebrate with a theme and have everyone arrive in Tarzan or Jane outfits! This would make for some incredible photo ops, especially when you're high up in the trees. It will be like 'Where's Wally?' in the forest! AN EARLY MORNING CELEBRATION Organise an early morning Trees Adventure session with your bride-to-be and her best girl (and/or guy) friends, then head out for lunch and some drinks afterwards at a nearby cafe or restaurant (you could even play a couple of games whilst waiting for your food to arrive).
