HORSEBACK WINERY TOURS: OUR FAVOURITE BITS
Horseback Riding & Wine Tasting Review
It’s no secret – I love wine.
So, if there’s an outing that incorporates this wonderful beverage, you can guarantee that I’ll be keen. And this particular outing certainly didn’t disappoint! Unlike anything I’ve ever done before, Horseback Winery Tours (located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Victoria) offered a unique and memorable day out that not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. From the friendly, easy-going and helpful staff, to the gorgeous horses and stunning venue; the overall vibe from the moment I entered this property was one of welcome, care and quality.
The horse I was paired with (Spanky!) was absolutely gorgeous and, due to her training and behaviour, made this novice rider feel constantly at ease. In fact, we were even able to master a slow trot by the end of the session (to be fair, Spanky was all over this the entire time; it was my skills that needed sharpening!).
In addition to the lovely trail-ride, the tastings were an enjoyable experience where we got to catch up with the other riders, laugh about our similar horse riding skills (I met a few other beginners), take some happy snaps and, of course, taste the delicious wines on offer.
Throughout the tour it was obvious how much the guides cared for the safety of their horses and riders alike; making everything about it fun and stress-free.
To sum it up, Horseback Winery Tours have combined two great past-times to create one unforgettable adventure. In all honesty, this was a fantastic experience that I will never forget. If you know an animal lover/wine enthusiast bride-to-be looking to do something a little out of the ordinary for her hens – a horseback wine tour is definitely an option! Incorporating a Horseback Winery Tour into Your Special Day
Below are a few ways in which you can incorporate this wonderful experience into your besties hen’s party. Remember this is inspiration designed to get your planning started; and I encourage you to add your own personal touches/ideas too!
A HORSEBACK WINERY TOUR ON ITS OWN
Organise a 2- or 3-hour Horseback Winery Tour (including lunch if you wish). This, in itself, would be a memorable celebration! KEEP THE WINERIES COMING Start your day with a morning Horseback Winery Tour, including lunch. You could then hire a mini-bus to continue the wine-tour fun (there are so many wonderful wineries in the area to choose from, you’re bound to have a great time!). KEEP THE PARTY GOING Start your day with a Horseback Winery Tour, including lunch; then hire a mini-bus (or organise designated drivers) to take you to another activity/venue (such as the beach or accommodation for the night. You can then play games and have some drinks/dinner, etc.). END THE DAY IN ABSOLUTE STYLE Start your celebration with a Horseback Winery Tour, and then hire a mini-bus (or organise designated drivers) to take you back to a campsite/glamping for platters (think wine and cheese) and picnics, games, drinks, etc.
