A jellybean party works by assigning each guest one colour before the event. Party goers arrive on the day wearing their assigned colour (a red dress, for example), and holding a drink to share in their assigned colour (red wine). The mix of hues will result in a fun and playful atmosphere (+ you get to sample drinks in ALL the colours of the rainbow!). Bring the whole theme together with bright foods and décor, a few fun games (such as 'how many jellybeans') and some glorious take-home favours!

Winter Party Ideas (Quick Overview)
Featuring décor inspired by the cooler weather, this theme is all about warming up (fire pits, roasted marshmallows and hot beverages), being cozy (beanies, blankets) and good company. Decorations often include twinkle lights, snowflakes and icicles, whilst the food/drink may reflect the ambiance of winter months (mulled wine and warmed eggnog). Activities such as a scavenger hunt, snowball fight, or ice-bar experience are perfectly suited to the theme, as are games such as the 'toilet paper snowman'. Guests will leave with beautiful winter-inspired favors (such as snowflake biscuits) and magical memories!

Colour Palette Ideas for Your Winter Themed Party
This tip alone is a serious game changer! Pick a colour palette before doing any other planning.
Why? Because once you know the different colours/shades/textures you want to work with, absolutely everything else becomes SO much easier! Whether you're sourcing decorations, selecting food and drinks, choosing outfits... knowing (and sticking to) the theme colours will not only make your job much less stressful, but will also result in a celebration that flows and looks incredible.
Our Favourite Winter Party Colour Palette:
We've decided to keep our winter wonderland theme cosy and rustic; using a colour palette filled with creams, whites, browns and greens (alongside an accent color (such as blue or gold) and natural textures such as chunky wool, wood and jute). You can see an example of these colours and textures together below.
Other Winter Party Theme Colours:
'Blues and white', 'Grey, white and cream', 'reds, white, greens and rustic touches', 'white and silver', 'white with rustic touches', or an 'all white party' are other great colour palette ideas.

Winter Themed Costumes & Outfit Ideas
Baby it's COLD outside! So why not encourage your guests to rug up in their best winter woollies? Beanies, scarves, mittens, ugg boots, slippers, coats, and even dressing gowns accepted attire - literally my dream dress code.
Alternatively, if you would like your celebration to ooze glamour and charm, opt for themes such as 'glitter', 'little white dress', 'winter themed dresses' or 'winter sparkle'. You could also set a colour block theme using your event palette (for example ,everyone come dressed in gold, green or brown - bride dressed in white).
And finally, if you'd like to give your guests a little more freedom in their wardrobe, why not ask everyone to come in an outfit that resembles 'snow', 'ice', or even the season itself. The range of costumes (from stunning, glittery dresses through to DIY snowflakes, snow globes and Santa outfits) will be SO entertaining and great for photos.

Winter Themed Party Food
There are a few ways to approach your winter themed food.
ADD SOME WARMTH
First of all: warmth. When I think of the cold winter months, I think of delicious meals that make me feel cosy and warm - family favorite meals that remind me of my childhood. For example, mini shepherds pies, self-serve butter chicken and rice, pulled pork rolls, pasta meals, lasagne, baked potatoes, or even pizza.
BRING THE COLD
Now reverse that thought and consider all things cold! Think along the lines of sundae bars, ice-cream bars and self serve gelati.
For those interested in setting up a station dedicated to these frozen delights, be sure to include a variety of delicious toppings (nuts, honeycomb, chocolate, lollies, sprinkles, fruits). Guests will have an absolute ball personalising their very own treats.
STICK TO YOUR THEME
If you want the theme to carry through to your food table, consider serving up an array of appetizers and sweets that pair well with your party colour palette.
Using the example from the beginning of this article, serving a range of foods that are cream, white, brown, green and gold is an easy way to tie your edibles to the rest of the celebration. This could include cupcakes decorated with white icing, avocado dip with crackers, cheese and crackers, chocolates, caramel popcorn mixed with plain popcorn, iced donuts, Ferrero Rocher's, mini sandwiches, biscuits, cake pops, mousse, scones, mini quiches and so on.
IT'S ALL IN THE DISPLAY

And finally, stunning labels, signs and/or inventive layouts are a fun way to theme your spread.
From cupcakes set up to form the shape of a snowflake, popcorn served in jars decorated as snowmen or little biscuits iced with wintery images, through to simple yet beautiful themed signage ('enjoy some food' or 'treat yourself); there are many ways to get creative.

Winter Themed Cocktails & Drinks
When the temperature drops, winter themed drinks such as hot chocolate (with a dash of Irish Whisky), butterscotch hot chocolate, warmed eggnog, mulled wine, hot caramel cocktail, or the delicious sticky date martini (sticky date pudding in cocktail form - my mouth waters at the mere thought of it) are your best bets. Snuggled up near the fire, best gals around, warm beverage in hand; it's a dream on those cold winter days!
If you want to zone in on the 'chill' factor, slushies with added punch (i.e. vodka or gin) or chilled drinks in your palette colours (e.g. snow cap cocktail, chocolate martinis, or the amazing toblerone cocktail) are bound to go down a treat.
Handy Tip:
Set up drink stations (such as a hot chocolate bar) so that guests can create weird and wonderful beverages to suit their taste.

Decorate in Style
Your winter wonderland party decorations should make guests feel warm, cosy and happy.
We love using natural items and textures to create this beautiful ambience. Indoor plants add stunning greenery, string lights add a subtle yet beautiful glow to the room (grab these out of your Christmas box to save yourself some money), fire creates warmth and wintery feels (open fire, fire pit, candles or candlesticks - they all work!), sticks painted white add a frosty feel and pine cones (painted white or left natural) draw the mind to winters gone by.
Burlap or twine work wonders when attached to jars (which can hold the flickering light of a small candle) or vases. Burlap also makes for beautiful table runners. Wooden pallets can be incorporated into your day to create stylish indoor picnic tables (or outdoor, if the weather permits), complete with comfortable rugs, throws and cushions.
Gold accents will add a bit of elegance to your celebration. Gold rimmed wine glasses, a couple of gold candle holders, gold cutlery, or even some edible gold glitter sprinkled over sweet dishes is bound to impress. Don't overdo it with this colour, though - subtle hints will make the biggest impact!
If you're the creative type, beautiful garlands can be created by threading twine or string through cotton balls (wrap with mini twinkle lights for extra sparkle).
And finally, make sure your beautiful guests keep warm by providing chunky woollen blankets to wrap around themselves outside, maybe some mittens and beanies too.
Splurge a Little:
After WOW factor? Make jaws drop by hiring a fake snow machine (a great way to bring the outdoors in) or by displaying some incredible ice sculptures (artistic, elegant and memorable).

Play Some Winter Themed Games
When it comes to pre-wedding celebrations, there are an abundance of games for you to choose from (for bridal shower game inspiration, click here; for hen party game ideas, click here). But if it's winter themed games for adults you're after, the following tweaks to classic options may be of interest!
.
CAPTURE THIS
Write down a list of scenarios that capture the magic of winter (for example, 'Snowball fights', 'Ice Skating', 'Snowboarding', 'Frozen', etc.). At the party, break guests up into small teams and assign one of the scenarios to each of them. It is then their job to create a photo or selfie that relates to that scene within 2 minutes.
Click here to view full game instructions.
DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN?
Split guests into groups (with at least 3 members each) and ask them to create a snow(wo)man bride within 10 minutes using ONLY toilet paper (you can find bamboo and recycled toilet paper here). This is achieved by dressing one team member; throwing, wrapping, twisting, etc. toilet paper over their body.
Once the time is up, have each snowman strut their stuff and the host pick best frozen fellow.
Alternative:
Split guests into teams and hand each of them their own box of random items (for example, cushions, blankets, ribbons, etc.). Ask teams to transform one of their members into a snowman using ONLY the items from their box! When 10 minutes is up, the snowmen put on a show (if they can move!) and the bride/host awards their favourite with a prize.
SCAVENGER HUNT
This is one of my favourite winter themed party games for those heading out and about. Make a list of wintery items that guests have to find and photograph themselves with.
For example, drinking a cocktail in an ice bar, holding a box of the bride's favourite icy-poles, eating an ice-cream, next to a snowman they've built out of random items, sipping on hot cocoa, holding paper snowflakes, etc.
Have a prize for the team/individual who finds (and photographs) everything on their list first.

COCKTAIL CLASS WITH A WINTERY TWIST
So much fun to make and incredibly delicious, what's not to love about a cocktail masterclass? Learn how to create the best of the best winter inspired cocktails at the hands of a pro. Or, request master teachings for your bride-to-be's favourite mix!
After you've all worked your magic with a shaker, you can enjoy sipping on your creations by a crackling fire.
HIT THE SLOPES
Whether you go for the day or the weekend, heading to the snow is the ultimate cold weather activity! Snowball fights, skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, falling (so much falling), laughing and keeping warm by a giant open fire. What more could an adventure loving hen want?
ICE BAR EXPERIENCE
Rather than heading up the mountain, find the chill closer to home. An ice bar experience brings the freezing climate to the city; meaning you can rug up and enjoy some ice-cold fun before stepping outside into what will feel like a warm breeze.
Be sure to enjoy some delish cocktails and snap many a photo in this unique environment before leaving.
MAKEOVER
Treat your best friend and her girls to an all-round pamper sesh. But rather than playing it safe, encourage everyone to have a bit of fun and try a bold, new, wintery look.
For example, if you're getting a makeup artist in, perhaps ask that she take inspiration from the cooler months; resulting in stunning winter themed makeup. Cheeks adorned with sparkling snowflakes, lips silver and glittery, moody tones coating eyelids - this is one fun way to brighten up a cold day.
Similarly, a nail technician may choose to create glittery masterpieces, paint gorgeous little snowflakes, or take inspiration from a winter colour palette.
PHOTO BOOTH
Depending on your budget, there are a couple of ways to introduce a snap happy area to your celebration:
Save some cash and DIY it with a beautiful backdrop. Take a look around your venue and find an area that would be suitable. This could be anywhere from a plain wall (wooden or white would be perfect for this theme) through to a stunning outdoor view. If you want to give your background a bit of 'WOW factor', this can be done using streamers (in your theme colours) hanging down from the ceiling, florals, balloon garlands, or even by bringing the outdoors in (think wooden stumps, greenery, etc.).
DIY Photo Booth Props:
Simple blackboards and chalk make great props (as they allow guests to write their own messages/speech bubbles which will DEFINITELY get more and more hilarious as the night goes on!). It’s also a good idea to write phrases on some of the boards before the party starts (‘[Name’s] hen’s party’, 'Party Time', 'Kiss the Miss Goodbye', 'Baby it's COLD Outside!', 'Snow Much Fun', etc.).
Other Prop Ideas:
If you do want to include actual props, these can be found in most party shops or via Etsy. You could also hit up some op shops and keep a lookout for wintery outfits/costumes that won’t cost a fortune. Warm hats, funny glasses, big jackets, snow boots, giant mittens and more would be great for filling your prop basket with.
The Cameras:
For this DIY option, let guests use their own cameras or phones to capture images. One celebration I went to had a selfie stick set up at the perfect height - all we had to do was pop our phone in on timer and voila, instant photobooth!
Hiring an Actual Booth:
If the thought of DIYing this activity causes more stress than excitement, actual photobooth companies can be brought in to help. Ranging from booths through to mirrors, there's an option for everyone's style. And most importantly, such businesses can customise the photo strip to suit your celebration (i.e. your hen's name, accompanied by snowflakes, can grace the strip if you wish).
WINTER EDIBLES - COOKING OR SIMPLY ENJOYING
The winter season lends itself to many delicious meals. Warm, filling - perfect when paired with a glass of wine. Why not take advantage of the wonderful foodstuff on offer by either learning how to make it yourself (hello cheeky cooking class), or by visiting a local winter themed restaurant (open fire a must).
If you'd prefer to stay in for the celebration, there is also the option of hiring a personal chef for the party. They will not only whip up a fabulous restaurant quality meal to be enjoyed around the table at home, but will also let you in on a few little secret when it comes to cooking delectable food.
And finally, if you're feeling a little competitive, you could challenge everyone to a gingerbread decorating contest. Whether they be shaped like little men, snowflakes or even a gingerbread house - ask guests to get those creative juices flowing and turn their bland biscuit base into some sort of masterpiece!

Main Squeeze Party Ideas (Quick Overview)
Lemon themed parties are vibrant and fun! Featuring elements of the citrus fruit throughout, expect to see lemon-infused food and drink (lemonade, citrus cocktails, lemon chicken, lemon slice), and decorations in a green and yellow colour scheme. Activities such as lemon-inspired cooking or cocktail masterclasses pair perfectly with this theme, as do games such as 'don't be sour'. Leave guests' wanting more by sending them home with beautiful gifts that provide the same fun and refreshing vibes as your celebration.

Main Squeeze Party Colour Palette
When creating events, it's always a good idea to pick a colour palette before doing anything else. This makes everything easier. Decorations, food, drinks - when it all ties together, your party will flow!
For a lemon themed event, you may like to mix a variety of yellows and greens with different shades of white. Natural textures such as wood and jute will also compliment this celebration nicely.

She Found Her Main Squeeze - The Outfits
This is a sophisticated and fun theme that doesn’t require particular outfits to pull off. That being said, a neat casual, or even a ‘favourite summer ensemble’ dress code will pair nicely with your main squeeze party.
If you would prefer guests to coordinate their clothing in some way, suggesting a colour block theme (i.e. everyone comes dressed in white and/or yellow) is an easy yet effective way to bring the group together. You could also hand out cute yellow flowers for everyone's hair as they arrive - a sweet accessory that people of all ages will love.
Handy Tip:
If you’re looking for a way to make your bride-to-be stand out, ask her to arrive in a yellow outfit while everyone else arrives in white (or vice versa).

Make Your Food Table Pop
Let's talk about your main squeeze menu, starting with foods for the citrus lovers.
With lemon meringue pie, lemon slice, lemon chicken, lemon scones, lemon bars, lemon cheesecake, lemon tart, lemon cake and lemon crumble being just some of the many on-theme recipes available, it's easy to find a sour snack (or meal) perfect for your occasion.
If you don't really enjoy the flavour of this fruit, you might like to serve a range of foods that match your colour palette instead.
Using the example palette from earlier, offering a range of yellow, green, cream and white finger foods is an easy way to tie your edibles to the rest of the event. Some examples include donuts, cakes, cupcakes and cake pops (all iced in one of your party colours), green salads, potato chips, mini sandwiches, bagels, lollies, cheese, and crackers.
And finally, there is the option of signage.
Rather than stressing about colours, place a themed sign on the table that encourages guests to dig in! The words 'Let's Squeeze in Some Food', for example, would be ideal for your Main Squeeze party.
Handy Tip:
Like bits and pieces from the different options above? There's no reason you can't mix and match! Serve some lemony foods alongside dishes in your party colours, and then pop a sign up at the back of your table for added fun.

Add Lemony Goodness to Your Drinks Table
White wine, champagne and cider are not only delish, but due to their yellowish colour will also fit in nicely with the rest of your food and decorations. Yellow and white cocktails are another great bevvie choice, as are cheeky punch recipes that result in gorgeous, golden hues.
For those who want to incorporate lemons in their drink menu, you really can't go past a good old fashioned lemonade bar/stand!
Allow guests to mix their own concoctions by providing pre-made lemonade alongside shot glasses and a range of alcohol (such as gin, vodka and peach schnapps). This gives non-drinkers the chance to quench their thirst with traditional lemonade, and others a fun mixing activity that could result in some delicious (and some not quite right!) new drinks.

First of all, you will need to decide on the type of 'look' you're after. A white base (e.g. tablecloths, serving bowls, etc.) is the best way to emphasise colours; giving you a bright, fresh feel. On the other hand, a rougher base (e.g. wooden or palette tables) will add more of a rustic vibe.
ADD SOME COLOUR
As this theme is dedicated to our favourite sour fruits, don't be afraid to use them. Lemons can be overflowing from bowls, strategically placed on tables amongst greenery, sliced up in jugs of water, frozen into ice-cubes, and more.
When it comes to the other décor, use a mix of yellows, greens and white, along with rustic accents if you wish (such as burlap, twine and wooden display boxes).
Pretty yellow and white flowers mixed with green leaves can be displayed on tables, beside doorways, and near anything you wish to draw attention to (such as a photo booth). Flower garlands are another amazing décor option (although may cost a pretty penny), as are potted lemon trees.
Reusable paper pom poms can also be a welcome inclusion to the day. A garland created with white and yellow of all sizes would look stunning, especially if you added some natural greenery to it as well.

CREATE THE RIGHT AMBIENCE
And finally, festoon or twinkle lights will add a wonderful vibe to your celebration; lightening up your venue in the best way possible as night falls.
MAKE USE OF SIGNAGE
Framed signs (such as those found here) are a great way to theme your venue whilst also letting guests' know what's around. Whether it be to welcome party-goers to the event, used as an addition to food and drink tables, or to guide guests in taking favours, these signs are helpful, sweet and compliment the overall décor nicely.

SELL IT
A fun game for parties heading out and about.
Put together a pack of lemon related objects/products. How ludicrous these items are is entirely dependent on the vibe of your party (e.g. if you want 18+ shenanigans, include some cheekier items. Want to keep things a little more low key? Stick to items that won't offend).
EXAMPLE ITEMS INCLUDE:
- Food items: lemon flavoured kombucha, actual lemons (freshly picked!), a box of lemon flavoured tea bags
- Gifts: lemon tree seedlings
- Pamper products: lemon soap bars, lemon scented lip balm
- Other items: outfits with lemon themed prints (search the op shop for these!), recipe cards featuring your favourite lemon treats or dishes
To play, give this party pack to your hen and explain that she is to try and sell what's inside throughout the night. Any money she makes should go towards buying something she really wants (such as a cocktail or that food she's been craving all afternoon).
Fun Tip:
Get guests involved in the game by asking them to hit up some op shops prior to the party; bringing along ONE of their favourite lemony finds for your hen to sell. It will be hilarious to see what everyone turns up with!
DON'T BE SOUR
At the start of the event, hand a yellow peg (with cute lemon cutout details) to one lucky guest. They are now the 'sour one', and it is their mission to try and attach this little peg to another guest without that person noticing.
Once the peg has been attached to someone, the 'sour one' counts down from 10 as loud as they can. If they reach 0 without the peg being found, the pegged person becomes 'the sour one'. However, if the peg is found before reaching 0, they have to complete a punishment (such as taking a big swig from a drink, or putting on a costume accessory) before finding their next victim!

COCKTAIL MASTERCLASS
Fun to make and incredibly delicious, what's not to love about a cocktail masterclass?
Learn how to create the best of the best yellow, white and/or green cocktails at the hands of a pro. Following the lesson, you can then enjoy sipping on your creations whilst digging into some food, sharing some laughs and basically having a good ol' time.
COLOURFUL MAKEOVER
Pamper your bride-to-be and her guests with a makeover (with a twist!).
Rather than sticking to neutral tones, this party is all about having fun and trying something bold - something new. Ask the makeup artist to take inspiration from your theme when completing each person's 'look'. Think bright yellow eyeshadow, yellow or gold glitter lips, shimmering lemon stencils on cheeks and more!
GET CREATIVE IN THE KITCHEN
Does your best friend have a favourite lemon inspired food? Whether it be lemon tart or lemon gelati, book in for a class that demonstrates exactly how to make it.
This activity not only provides skills that can be used in daily life (hello new favourite dish!), but will also give your bride-to-be and her gals the chance to sit down, relax and indulge in some delicious homemade goodness as a group.
SCAVENGER HUNT
This scavenger hunt is all about tracking down the best lemony goodness your town has to offer.
To play, make a list of items for guests to find and photograph themselves with.
For example, snap yourself enjoying a lemon flavoured beer at [insert pub name], enjoying a lemon cider from [insert bar name], hiding amongst yellow flowers, standing next to a tall lemon tree, posing with a box of lemons, eating a lemon flavoured food, etc.
Have a prize for the team/individual who completes everything on their list first.

Get into the Festive Spirit with Fun Christmas Party Themes
A VERY SEXY CHRISTMAS
After an outrageous hen party theme? Why not host a ‘very sexy Christmas’?
At this party, anything goes - from red bathers and Christmas themed lingerie, to mini dresses in the theme of Mrs. Clause or elves, it’s all about being daring and cheeky. Pair with some activities that would only ever be found on Santa’s ‘naughty list’ and you’re good to go.
CHARACTERS OF CHRISTMAS
There are a few ways you can go about this particular theme. For starters, why not dress your bride-to-be as Mrs. Clause and have guests arrive as elves?! Or have everyone arrive as their own version of Santa (beards and all), whilst your beautiful hen shines as Mrs. Clause?
Alternatively, ask guests to get creative with one simple request – it MUST be a character of Christmas (prepare yourself for elves, scrooge, Santa, reindeer, Mrs. Clause, presents, Christmas trees, Candy canes, and everything in-between!).
CHRISTMAS IN JULY/WINTER WONDERLAND
CHRISTMAS IN JULY/WINTER WONDERLAND
Planning a celebration in the cooler months but still want to bring the Christmas cheer to your best friend’s day? Why not host a Christmas in July celebration?
Suggest guests dress in their favourite wintery gear. With such a vague description, you can expect people to come decked out in anything from their warmest party outfits, colours associated with the theme (such as white/glitter, just like a snowflake), hilariously ugly Christmas sweaters, or Christmas characters (Mrs. Clause in her snug red coat, a snowman, or even a Christmas turkey are all possibilities!).
Pair with activities such as a hot cocoa bar, ice-skating and an ice-bar adventure for extra wintery feels.

CHRISTMAS PJ PARTY
When Christmas rolls around, there are always some fun, cute or downright weird festive PJs to choose from... and not just in the kids section! So why not host the most comfortable event around and encourage party-goers to arrive in their favourite Christmassy pyjamas (slippers and dressing gowns also encouraged)?
Onesies, nighties, shorts & singlets, funny slogans, terrible slogans – you really can’t go wrong. And the best part? Your gals can keep their cosy outfits for years to come; being reminded of that epic party every time they don their Christmas sleepwear.
COLOUR BLOCK CHRISTMAS
For those after a simple Christmas party theme, you could ask that all guests arrive wearing red, and then dress your bride-to-be in green (or vice versa). Alternatively, go for the ‘white Christmas’ theme and have everyone wear their favourite white attire.
FUNNY SLOGANS

FUNNY SLOGANS
Add a bit of fun to the costume department by requesting that funny Christmas party slogans are somehow included in each outfit. This could be anything from a T-shirt with embroidered words 'I'm dreaming of a wine Christmas' to a dress with paper sticky taped to the front (displaying a hilarious slogan for all to see).
Let guests get creative with this one, you'll be surprised (and impressed) with what people come up with!

HO HO HO DOWN!
It might be Christmas time, but that certainly doesn’t mean you have to stick to the theme completely. Bring out your inner country-girls by donning some flannies, denim, boots and wide-brimmed hats. You can also add a touch of festive fun to your outfits with Santa hats, Christmas themed earrings or even tinsel necklaces if you wish.
SANTA HATS
Another low-key option is that of Santa hats. These will bring your group together whilst still allowing your guests to choose an outfit they'd like to wear. Pair with the colour-block theme idea mentioned above if you'd like everyone to be more 'matchy-matchy'.
UGLY SWEATERS
And finally, there's the good old 'ugly sweater' (or 'creative Christmas sweater') option. This will not only be funny for guests when choosing their outfit, but will also guarantee plenty of laughs on the night.
Delight Your Guests with Christmas Inspired Food
If you’re hosting a Christmas party and LOVE a good feed, why not go all out and serve a full blown Christmas feast? You could either prepare this yourself (with the help of the other bridesmaids), organise a pot luck lunch or dinner (where each guest brings a plate), or get the professionals in so that you can all sit back, relax and enjoy the meal (without any stress).
Alternatively, if your bride-to-be prefers to ‘snack-on-the-go’, perhaps you could bring the fun to your food table with cute, funny or distasteful labels instead? For instance, a ‘Treats for Santa’ sign could be placed next to a cart that serves milk and cookies (or, if you’d prefer, cocktails with a milky appearance). You could also use labels such as ‘Reindeer Poop’ (chocolate bits), ‘Christmas Cupcakes’, ‘Reindeer Noses’ (bowl of malteasers with one red jaffa for Rudolph) or ‘Baubles’/’Mini Baubles’ (anything round and colourful – such as M&Ms).
And finally, there’s the option of creating Christmas party food that looks festive! For example, cutting the bottom of a strawberry off and putting a dollop of white chocolate on the tip – instant ‘Santa Hat’. Cookies shaped like Christmas characters are also a win, as are Christmas puddings, biscuits stacked to look like Christmas trees, Pavlovas (for an Aussie Christmas), candy canes, snowman pancakes and watermelon cute to look like Christmas trees.

And Let's Not Forget the Festive Drinks!
Christmas inspired beverages can be served based on colour (for example, if you’re hosting a ‘green and red’ themed Christmas party, you could serve cocktails that have green and red tones – Cosmopolitans and Grasshopper cocktails would be ideal for this. Jelly shots made from green and red jelly also work well – bonus points if you display the shots like a Christmas tree).
Alternatively, you may decide to serve traditional Christmas drinks, such as Eggnog, mulled wine, Christmas punch or boozy hot chocolate.
And finally, there’s the option of labelling your drink selection. ‘Grinch Juice’, ‘Naughty Nectar’, ‘Santa’s Secret’ and/or ‘Jolly Juice’ all work, as does one sign to cover ALL of your drinks – ‘Let’s Get Elfed Up!’.

FUN TIP:
Hand out reusable jars, champagne flutes or shot glasses to each guest, individually labelled so that they can keep track of their drinks. Labels such as ‘Eat, Drink & Be Merry’, ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year’, ‘Santa’s Little Helper’, ‘Bah Hum Bug’ and ‘Christmas Cheer’ will slot in perfectly with your overall theme.

Add to the Cheer with Christmas Party Decorations
The beauty of this theme is that EVERYONE has Christmas decorations in the cupboard, just waiting to make their appearance at that magical time of year. So rather than purchasing decor for the celebration, see what you (and your guests) have in storage that can bring your theme together. From Christmas trees and fairy lights to festive table runners, you’ll have an absolute ball ‘decking the halls’.
For those who want to keep it in a particular colour scheme, the above still applies. Simply check your cupboards (and ask other guests) for decor that suits the look you’re going for. Some inspiration includes ‘White Christmas’, ‘Green & Red Christmas’, ‘Red & White Christmas’ and ‘Christmas Lights’.

EXTRA DECOR TIP:
Instead of counting down to Christmas, you could create a sign that counts down to the hen's wedding day. Decorate with baubles or string lights for a Christmassy touch.

Get the Giggles with these Fun Christmas Party Game Ideas
Games can be played in two different ways at themed parties. They can either be right on theme (scroll down for some amazing Christmas Bachelorette party game options) or they can completely unrelated (yet include a touch of Christmas spirit). If you're after the latter, check out our beautiful range of Christmas themed printables by clicking here.
BEST DRESSED COMPETITION
Encourage everyone to arrive in fun outfits by hosting a competition. Play Christmas carols whilst they all strut around the room. Your bride-to-be can then pick her favourite costume, awarding the winner with a prize!
ant the fun to continue? Rather than just having a ‘best dressed’ category, add some alternative prizes as well. Think along the lines of ‘most creative outfit’, ‘weirdest getup’, ‘funniest costume’, etc.
CRAFTY CHRISTMAS
Pull out your scrap paper, paint, pencils, pens and more - it's time for a craft off. Set everything on a table and let guests go to town creating their very own 'Hallmark Christmas Cards'.
But, it's not all about looks. Oh no, it's much more than that.
As you know, Hallmark cards are famous for the messages they hold inside. Which means, individuals/teams have to think about spreading festive cheer with words as well. The person/team with the most creative, unique, hilarious or even sweetest card and message combo wins.
Other ways to bring the creative juices to your celebration include decorating baubles, making stockings, personalising Santa hats and more!
DRESS SANTA
I’m sure you’ve played (or at least heard of) the game ‘DIY Wedding Dress’ before? Where teams use toiled paper to create their own designer wedding gowns? Just like that game, guests are split into small groups (of 3-4) and given a time limit to wrap their model. BUT, in this case, it’s the first team to turn their ‘model’ into Santa that wins. The suit, the beard, the hat, the shoes – the results will be hilarious.

HOW MANY ORNAMENTS?
Make sure you keep count of those ornaments whilst decorating that tree. Guests can then take it in turns to guess how many there are, with the person who guesses the closest winning a prize. Simple, fun AND pretty to look at, this game is perfect if you're after low-key activities that guests can participate in when they wish.
SIAMESE GIFT WRAPPING GAME
This challenge is so simple to set up, and SO funny to watch. The aim of the game is for guests to wrap a present as fast as they can. Sounds simple, right? Well... the catch is that they must do so in pairs. And each person is only allowed to use one hand!
Handy Tip:
Use cereal boxes, tissue boxes, etc. as ‘presents’ and old newspapers as ‘wrapping paper’.
WOULD YOU RATHER - CHRISTMAS EDITION
If you haven’t heard of this game before, it’s basically where you ask the group a ‘would you rather’ question. For example, ‘would you rather give or receive a lap dance?’ A fun and easy way to break the ice at any kind of party!
To bring the Christmas theme to this game, you simply have to come up with questions that are related to the festive season. For instance, ‘would you rather be naughty or nice?’

SANTA PHOTOS
Make your photo booth one to remember by including a life-sized painting or picture of Santa! Set up a large sign reading 'Santa Photos' next to a basket of fun props (headbands related to the theme, cute Christmas photo props such as 'I'm on Santa's Naughty List', blackboards and chalk - so that guests can write fun messages throughout the night, etc.). The resulting images will be memorable, hilarious and a wonderful keepsake from such a fun occasion.
Handy Tip:
Don't have the cash or craftiness to print/paint a large image of Santa? Have one of the bridesmaids dress up as the jolly man instead! As with the shops, 'Santa Photos' will only be open for a short time. When the (wo)man in red is no longer available for pictures, guests can simply enjoy taking pics with props instead.

If you're after a party favor or prize that ties in with your overall theme, think along the lines of baubles and other tree decorations, festive mugs, mini Christmas puddings, mini pavlovas, candy canes, Christmas cookie cutter set (plus cookies!), festive candles, tiny (real) Christmas trees, Christmas cupcakes, hot cocoa mix, cosy socks/gloves, or even some delish Christmas punch served in cute little jars.

Deliver Gifts in True Christmas Style
This theme lends SO many fun ways to gift your guests their favours!
For starters, rather than the typical favour bags, you could go for presents instead. Neatly wrap and label each gift (one per guest) and place them under the Christmas tree, ready to be collected at the end of the night.
Alternatively, you could hang stockings or mini 'Santa Sacks' (this could be part of your decor – a stocking garland) filled with little gifts.
For those with extra cash to splash, personalised stockings go down a real treat!
And finally, there is the option of ‘Christmas Eve Boxes’. Fill each box with goodies that can be used throughout the celebration (such as playdoh for a game of ‘mould the man’, Christmas crackers filled with terrible jokes, candy canes, etc.) – giving your guests a sneak peek at what the day/night will entail whilst simultaneously getting everyone excited and ready to par-tay.

FUN TIP:
The favour options above can be turned into a game.
Nominate one or two of the bridesmaids to play Santa – it will be their job to set out the favours at some point during the celebration (whether this be placing presents under the tree, filling the stockings with gifts or setting up the Christmas Eve Boxes depends on what type of favour you decide to go with). The other bridesmaids can cause a distraction at this time so that ‘Santa’ can sneak in and out without being seen.
The first person to notice that Santa has visited gets a prize.
