AUTHOR: BEC OF 'FOR EVERY HEN'
A fun twist on the scavenger hunt game, Hen Party Bucket List will give your bride-to-be the chance to complete a range of things she's ALWAYS wanted to do... but never had the time! Surrounded by her best friends and family, completing the items in this game will not only be extremely fun, but it will also be incredibly meaningful (she will see the thought that went into creating her special day, and will love you even more for it!). To learn how to play, see below.
HOW TO PLAY HEN PARTY BUCKET LIST:
YOU WILL NEED:
Some intel on what your bride-to-be would love to try. This could be anything from pole dancing through to eating a giant doughnut! You will also need enough checklists for everyone in the group (see below for more details).
It's a scavenger hunt... but with items the bride-to-be has always wanted to do!
Have a chat with your best friend (and/or her fiancé if you would like to keep it a on the down-low) and find out what she would love to experience in your local city (bonus points if she's never done it before!). Type up the activities she mentions, making sure that each item is placed alongside a section for guests to tick once the task has been completed.
Once your 'hens night bucket list' is finalised, print it off (one per person attending the celebration).
Example items include:
Handy hint: You can add a couple of your own ideas if the list needs a few more options. Just make sure it's something your best friend would LOVE taking part in - this game is all about her after all!
PLAYING HEN PARTY BUCKET LIST:
To play, follow the steps below.
ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO PLAY 'HEN PARTY BUCKET LIST'
Rather than completing each of the items as a group, break off into smaller teams and get those competitive juices flowing! First team to get through each of the items (photo and/or video evidence, or it didn't happen) wins!
FOLLOW THE HASHTAG
Playing in teams and want to keep an eye on what the others are up to? Create a special hashtag (JUST for the game!). Teams can then upload images alongside the hashtag once an item has been completed; meaning any team who views the hashtag will be able to see what their competitors have achieved so far.
WE LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT
Rather than just capturing still shots, consider adding items to your bucket list that involve video. For example, ‘take a video of the hen doing [insert bucket list item]'. Alternatively, teams who film themselves completing items on the list could receive bonus points!
Instead of creating a list prior to the celebration, ask each guest to have input on the day! This can be done by handing out pieces of paper and asking party-goers to write down one thing they know the bride would love to do. Checklist items obviously have to be attainable! Write all of the items onto one big checklist and make your way through as a group!
