AUTHOR: BEC OF 'FOR EVERY HEN'
I came up with these ice-cream balloons for a very special occasion, and it's the reason I love them SO much! This along with the fact that they are adorable, the perfect addition to any sweet themed celebration, easy to make AND a fantastic talking point.
To share in my love for this beautiful décor and to make them yourself, see instructions below!
STEP 1: INFLATION
Blow up your miniature balloons. Make sure they're not inflated too much as you want them to fit neatly into the ice-cream cones. If they're too large they also won't look like ice-cream!
Approximately 2 and a 1/2 pumps was all I needed for this tutorial.
STEP 2: ATTACH TO STEMS
Place the mini cups on the mini stems before attaching your balloon (as pictured).
STEP 3: MAKE THE HOLE
Now, very carefully, pierce the bottom of one ice-cream cone using the end of the balloon stem. If the hole is slightly bigger than intended don't stress - we can fix this in a few steps time!
STEP 4: MAKE YOUR ICE-CREAM
Slide the cone up the stem until it's against your balloon.
STEP 5: KEEP IT IN PLACE
Keep your cone and stem attached by using the blue-tak as shown. The amount of blue-tak used will depend on the size of the hole made. Try to keep it as flat as possible so that it's not visible from the side.
Once your balloon stem is nicely stuck to the cone, you'll have yourself a gorgeous little ice-cream balloon decoration!
STEP 6: DECORATE
Now for the fun part: decorate your venue/event with your gorgeous balloon ice-creams! They can be placed in vases, stuck in the ground, lining your pathways, used as cake toppers, etc. They also make pretty little favours for your guests!
If you decide to hang onto these little beauties following your party, make sure you stash away the blue-tak and balloon cups/stems; meaning you can re-create this decoration again and again!
CONFETTI ICE-CREAM BALLOONS
Confetti balloons are amazing - pair them with this adorable DIY décor and you have yourself a winner! My favourite confetti balloon style for this particular project is 'sprinkles' (see bottom right picture below); however any shaped filler does look fantastic.

I absolutely LOVE seeing your DIY décor in action! If you've made these gorgeous balloon decoration for your celebration and would like to share your pictures, please do so below or via social media (Facebook | Facebook Group | Instagram).
Cheers to an AMAZING hens party (or any other event) with the most adorable non-edible ice-creams in town!
Much love, keep smiling - Bec x
